In order to implement the spirit of the 19th Party Congress and promote the implementation of the "Healthy China 2030 Planning Outline" and the "13th Five-Year National Eye Health Plan (2016-2020)", the 2019 Third China Eye Health Conference will be held in 2019. August 15-17 was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. With the theme of “Standing on the prevention of blindness and practicing the mission of light”, this conference invites famous experts on prevention and treatment of blindness and eye health at home and abroad to give special lectures, exchange and share prevention of blindness. The latest policies, experience models and ideas for the treatment of blindness and eye health.
The conference was rich in content and closely followed the development needs. It set up a special forum, a new report on blindness prevention, a special report on quality control of cataract surgery, a special report on quality control of ophthalmology, a special report on wisdom eye health, and a special report on the establishment of primary eye health. In addition, the 2019 National Eye Health Work Salon was established to promote and strengthen inter-agency, inter-organizational, inter-regional and inter-country blindness cooperation and exchanges.
