On April 29th, the National Health and Health Commission held a press conference to present the results of the 2018 National Child and Adolescent Myopia Survey. According to the survey, the overall myopia rate of children and adolescents nationwide in 2018 was 53.6%, and more than half of children and adolescents were suffering from myopia. In the high school student population, myopia rate reached an astonishing 81%.
